The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer – Platform to join our team. As a key member of our platform development team, you will have the opportunity to work at the heart of our trading systems, rotating onto mission-critical projects that encompass everything from trading, positions, and risk, through to market connectivity.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with traders and developers to help solve problems in real-time.
- Develop your talents across a broad array of technical disciplines.
- Work in a constantly evolving environment with new challenges and opportunities to learn every day.
- Maintain a keen interest in industry best practice to ensure we are pushing towards constant industry-leading performance.
- Consult with the business to ensure the technology is relevant to the requirements of the business and to ensure buy-in from key stakeholders.
- Conduct constant testing, reviewing, and analysis of our systems and technology to ensure optimal performance.
- Proactively collaborate on ideas around innovation to our technology and processes to ensure we are operating at optimal levels.
- Development experience in Java, C++, or C#.
- Scripting language experience, preferably Python.
- Experience working in Linux environments.
- Understanding of network protocols and some experience configuring physical equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
