About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Sub-editor to join our team at MECCA Brands Pty Ltd. As a key member of our content team, you will be responsible for ensuring the consistency of our brand voice across all customer touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with our brand's overall goals and objectives
  • Sub-edit, proofread, and fact-check all copy, including store signage, website content, emails, videos, and apps
  • Edit copy to fit space constraints while maintaining clarity and relevance
  • Improve on-site editorial stories with tagging, alt text, and metadata
  • Write compelling subject lines for all media channels
  • Manage copy approval within the content team and broader stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the content team to ensure consistency in brand voice and tone
  • Project manage the implementation and ongoing management of our CMS and DAM systems
  • Liaise with compliance and legal teams to ensure accurate and compliant copy
  • Work with product and front-end developers on digital projects
What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone with a passion for words and grammar, who is detail-oriented and thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment. You will have extensive experience in a sub-editing role, a tertiary qualification in marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field, and outstanding organisational and planning skills.
