We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Sub-editor to join our team at MECCA Brands Pty Ltd. As a key member of our content team, you will be responsible for ensuring the consistency and quality of our brand voice across all customer touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with our brand voice and messaging
- Sub-edit, proofread, and fact-check all copy, including store signage, website content, emails, videos, and apps
- Edit copy to fit space constraints while maintaining clarity and relevance
- Improve on-site editorial stories with tagging, alt text, and metadata
- Write compelling subject lines for all media channels
- Manage copy approval within the content team and with broader stakeholders
- Collaborate with the content team to ensure consistency and quality of content
- Project manage the implementation and ongoing management of our CMS and DAM systems
- Liaise with compliance and legal teams to ensure accurate and compliant copy
- Work with product and front-end developers on digital projects
We're seeking someone with a passion for words, grammar, and attention to detail. You should have extensive experience in a sub-editing role, a tertiary qualification in marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field, and outstanding organisational and planning skills.
You should be able to partner with and manage cross-functional stakeholders, think on your feet, and project manage other teams to ensure workflow is consistent. Experience with CMS and DAM systems is beneficial, as is technical fluency and a quick-to-learn attitude for new IT systems.
