Clinical Nurse

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Healthscope team as a Clinical Nurse - Quality and Risk / Infection Control Specialist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the Quality/Risk and Infection Control programs to complement the strategic direction, daily operational processes and the continual achievement of accreditation for the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Quality and Infection Control procedures, practices and standards.
- Work closely with members of the multidisciplinary team and participate in relevant committees to collect and collate data, key performance indicators (KPIs) and infection control clinical indicators.
- Conduct clinical audits, monitoring and surveillance as required.
- Undertake direct patient care as required providing guidance and support to less experienced members of the nursing team.
Requirements:
- Current Registration with AHPRA.
- At least 5 years post graduate experience and/or qualifications in either Infection Control and/or Quality Management.
- Experience in the Acute setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer focused care.
- High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases.
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment.
- Proven time management and prioritisation skills.
