Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of manufacturing reliability. This is a hands-on, shopfloor-facing position that offers real influence and opportunities for growth.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead root cause analysis, asset reviews, and reliability investigations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Monitor asset performance and drive reliability improvement projects to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Optimize spare parts and maintenance planning using CMMS systems to streamline processes.
  • Support and mentor maintenance teams in best-practice reliability methods to improve overall plant performance.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve plant efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Drive safety-first maintenance practices and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure a safe and sustainable work environment.

Requirements

  • A mechanical or engineering background with experience in pulp, paper, or manufacturing industries.
  • Strong knowledge of rotating equipment and high-speed machinery with a proven track record of reliability improvements.
  • Previous experience working in 24/7 manufacturing environments with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • Ability to analyze failure trends and implement practical solutions to minimize downtime.
  • A hands-on mindset and ability to influence on-the-floor teams to drive cultural change.
  • Solid knowledge of safety practices and plant operations with a focus on reducing risk and improving compliance.
  • Experience with CMMS systems such as MEX, SAP, or similar software.
