The International Society for Bayesian Analysis is seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow in Data Science to join our team.
About the Role:This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative solutions in the energy sector using statistical data science. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and applying statistical models, including spatial and spatio-temporal modeling, physical-statistical modeling, Bayesian inference, optimal design, statistical machine learning, and time series modeling.
The appointee will collaborate closely with researchers at NIASRA and other members of the Hub, which is based at the University of Western Australia. This is a vibrant and active research environment comprising inter-disciplinary expertise in oceanography, engineering, and data science.
A PhD in Statistics or a closely related discipline is required, as well as good statistical modeling skills, good programming skills, and good communication skills.
