Optimize Linux Software for Latest Hardware

We're seeking a skilled leader to oversee the development and optimization of Linux software for the latest hardware platforms.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Linux distributions, Debian packaging, and high-performance server-class hardware. They will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to design and implement cutting-edge Ubuntu integration for IoT and server-class hardware platforms.

The selected individual will engage with commercial partners to deliver a top-notch Ubuntu experience on their platforms. They will also develop their team through coaching, mentoring, and feedback, ensuring they grow as engineers and have a great time at the company.

As a senior leader, you will represent the team in direct partner engagement, ensuring timely delivery on agreed project milestones. You will also collaborate effectively across multiple internal teams, building trust and delivering results.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a technology field and excellent communication skills in English. They will have experience working directly with customers, resolving technical issues, and interpreting business challenges.

Requirements
  • Expertise in Linux distributions, Debian packaging, and high-performance server-class hardware
  • Leadership experience managing or leading a team of software engineers
  • Understanding of agile software development methodologies
  • Effective communication skills in English
