Senior Risk Management Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Manager to join our team at FNZ Australia. As a key member of our Risk and Compliance team, you will play a critical role in shaping and enhancing our risk and compliance framework.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, assess, and prioritize risks across the organization, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
- Develop and implement monitoring processes to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Provide ongoing training to staff on risk and compliance standards, fostering a culture of awareness and accountability.
- Conduct regular performance reviews for team members, focusing on individual contributions to compliance objectives.
- Design, review, and update policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote a strong risk and compliance culture and ensure effective communication.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and governance bodies, highlighting key issues and recommendations.
- Encourage a proactive approach to continuous improvement in risk and compliance processes, leveraging feedback and lessons learned.
- Foster a supportive team environment that values diverse perspectives and encourages collaboration in achieving compliance goals.
- 5+ years of proven experience in a risk management role.
- Experience within the Australian Financial Services industry, Wealth Management or Superannuation environment required.
- Knowledge of Platform/Wrap offerings including Superannuation, IDPS/IDPS-like, SMA & MDA is preferred.
- Strong understanding of regulatory obligations and best practices in risk and compliance.
- Relevant industry certifications in risk management, compliance, or a related field.
- Ability to convey complex risk concepts to diverse audiences, with a knack for clear and effective reporting.
- Proven track record of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to managing workload and driving risk management initiatives.
- Flexible and responsive to changing priorities, with a positive attitude towards new challenges.
