About the Role

The Deputy Principal will oversee the day-to-day operations of Providence Christian College, ensuring alignment with the school's Christian ethos and compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation & Oversight: Manage the college duty roster, calendar, and timetables.
  • Policy Management & Compliance: Oversee 80+ policies to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with the latest legislation, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Executive Administrative Support: Manage administrative responsibilities to enhance the Principal's availability and engagement with the college community.
  • Vibrant, People-Centred Leader: Ability to temporarily assume the role of principal when absent, i.e., communication with staff, students, and parents or PR.
  • Financial Acumen: Attend financial meetings alongside the Principal, school heads, and board members.
  • Conflict Resolution: Assist the Principal in promptly resolving escalated issues or concerns from the heads of the senior or primary schools.
  • Provide specific advice on government and legal considerations.
  • Ad hoc Recruitment: Manage induction and onboarding checklist for new staff.
About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual with a Master's degree in education or a related field and 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

  • Proficient in TASS (Alpha) Learning Management System
  • Technically efficient (i.e., comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Suite)
  • Ability to Work collaboratively within a team
  • Communicate proactively across all levels of the organisation
  • Maintain strong attention to detail
  • Uphold and exemplify the College's values and behaviours
  • Willingness to promote and embody the principles and values of the Christian Church
