Job Title: Deputy Head of Senior School

Job Summary:

The Deputy Head of Senior School is a senior leadership position responsible for the management and oversight of the day-to-day operations and practices in the Senior School. The successful applicant will be pivotal in the leadership of the Senior School, working collaboratively with the Deputy Principal/Head of Senior School and Deputy Head of Senior School – Student Wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and management to the Senior School, ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational programs and services.
  • Student Wellbeing and Learning: Foster a culture of student wellbeing and learning, ensuring that decisions regarding students reflect what is in their best interests.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage teams to implement processes and achieve goals, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and staff, ensuring open and transparent communication.
  • Digital Literacy: Utilize digital technologies to enhance teaching and learning, and to improve operational efficiency.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies, and manage risk to minimize exposure to the school.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Hold a current VIT registration and have the right to live and work in Australia.
  • Skills and Experience: Demonstrate a commitment to the school's values, a passion for student learning and wellbeing, and excellent communication and leadership skills.
