Grounds Attendant Job Description

Maintaining the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces is a vital aspect of our organization. As a Grounds Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that our grounds are well-manicured and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform landscape maintenance duties such as mowing, edging, trimming, and pruning to maintain the aesthetic appeal of our grounds.
  • Install and maintain plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to create a welcoming environment for visitors and employees alike.
  • Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers) to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
  • Assist with irrigation system installation and repairs to optimize water usage and prevent damage to plants and equipment.
  • Remove weeds, debris, and litter from outdoor areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is highly desirable, but not necessary.
  • The ability to safely operate landscaping tools and machinery is essential.
  • A high level of physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions is required.
  • A keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic are necessary to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • A valid driver's license is preferred, but not mandatory.
