The Medical Imaging Department at ACT Health operates 24 hours, seven days a week, providing a wide range of diagnostic imaging services. The service provides state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine services to patients in the region.
The Medical Imaging Department forms part of the ACT Health Medical Services Group, which also includes Pharmacy, Healthcare Technology Management, the Prevocational Education and Training, the Medical Officer Support, Credentialing, Employment and Training Unit (MOSCETU), the GP Liaison Unit (GPLU), ACT Blood Count Program, and the ACT Health Library and Multimedia service.
Key Responsibilities- Organize, develop, deliver, and evaluate specialized education and training programs across disciplines under the broad supervision of the Ultrasound Modality Manager.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of professional ultrasound development programs that enhance sonographic practice knowledge and skills across disciplines to ensure sustainability of our ultrasound service delivery.
- Develop and implement education and training programs that meet the needs of healthcare professionals and patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to design and deliver education and training programs that improve patient outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of education and training programs and make recommendations for improvement.
