Job Description:
This is an identified position for Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander individuals. To be considered for this role, applicants must demonstrate their Aboriginal descent through parentage, identify as an Aboriginal person and be accepted in the community as such.
We are seeking a dedicated Allied Health Assistant to join our dynamic Physiotherapy department at Nepean Hospital. As a trainee, you will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and training from our experienced physiotherapy team.
You will work closely with patients, helping them regain mobility and improve their quality of life. This role is perfect for someone with a strong commitment to health and wellbeing, and a desire to contribute to patient care and rehabilitation in a culturally sensitive environment.
About Us:
We provide a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region. Our hospital is a teaching institution that offers tertiary referral services in various areas including emergency care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Allied Health Assistant support for Physiotherapy services
- Develop strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Requirements:
- Aboriginality - Being an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person is essential for this position
- Minimum Year 10 School Education or above who do not hold a certificate III and who are not already under a traineeship program
