We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced veterinarian to join our team as a permanent veterinarian and emergency clinician. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional clinical care to small animals and play a vital role in teaching and mentoring final-year veterinary students.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and treat a wide range of animal diseases and injuries
- Perform routine surgical procedures, including dental, ophthalmic, and sterilization
- Build strong relationships with clients and patients through effective communication and consultation
- Safely obtain high-quality diagnostic images to inform treatment decisions
- Ensure appropriate clinical hygiene and sterility procedures in managing clinical cases
- Provide clinical teaching, mentoring, and support to students
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or registerable equivalent
- Radiological License with Queensland Health
- Recover CPR training or willingness to obtain
- Certificate IV Trainer & Assessor or other relevant tertiary qualifications in teaching
- Relevant general practice and/or emergency veterinary experience
- Contemporary knowledge of best practice treatment and effects of therapies and medicine
- An annualized salary of $123,000 - $133,000 p/a, including up to 8 reasonable additional hours per fortnight
- 11% superannuation
- $2500 CPD p/a
- 5 weeks annual leave
- 1 week paid study leave p/a
