Senior Construction Risk Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Construction Risk Engineer to provide professional engineering advice to our underwriting team in the Asia Pacific region. This role involves offering timely and technically advanced guidance on technical risks of construction projects for industrial facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive desktop reviews for large industrial construction projects worldwide, adhering to relevant engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with regional engineers to conduct peer reviews and site visits.
  • Evaluate significant losses in construction projects and ensure accurate data upload to the loss database.
  • Support and train risk engineers and senior underwriters to enhance their expertise.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A qualified engineer with a degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering.
  • At least ten years of hands-on engineering experience, preferably including experience as a site manager in heavy industries like Power Generation and/or Oil and Gas.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to facilitate effective interactions with clients, brokers, and stakeholders.
