About the Role

VMCH Disability Services offers high-quality services to support individuals in remaining independent in their communities.

A Handyperson is required to join our team at Cre8 Shed, where you will assist and encourage people with disabilities to learn new skills and have fun. You may be required to work in other programs depending on needs.

About You

Prior experience as a trade or handyperson would be advantageous. You require knowledge and ability to use tools and power tools, as well as assisting others to learn. A creative environment would suit you well. Experience working with individuals in the disability sector is highly regarded but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and encourage people with disabilities to learn new skills and have fun.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve individual goals.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized plans.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a trade or handyperson.
  • Knowledge and ability to use tools and power tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
