The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Workplace Health and Safety Advisor to join our team based in Melbourne's Northern suburbs. In this role, you will support the development and implementation of our WHS Management System.

As a Workplace Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in our People & Culture team. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring compliance, promoting a positive WHS culture, developing improvements and countermeasures, coaching others to improve overall safety, and supporting workers' compensation claims and return to work plans.

Key Responsibilities:


• Develop and manage WHS systems.


• Support and build a safety culture and awareness within the business.


• Conduct internal audits and risk assessments.


• Analyze and recommend improvements to WHS strategies, processes, and procedures.


• Manage accident/incident investigations, workers' compensation claims, and return to work plans.


• Develop and communicate incident alerts, learnings, and corrective actions.


• Lead, support, and train risk reviews and manage actions.


• Deliver training, awareness, and instruction.

The ideal candidate will have:


• Australian working rights.


• Qualifications in occupational health and safety or other relevant disciplines.


• Ability to influence and drive change through relevant initiatives and programs.


• 4-7 years or more experience in a similar role, preferably within the Manufacturing, Logistics, or Construction industries.


• Experience in risk management, hazard identification, incident investigation.


• Intermediate to high-level experience in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems.


• Sound knowledge of relevant WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, and AS/NZ Standards.


• Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
