About the Role

The Royal Flying Doctor Service is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Planning Officer to join our Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing maintenance work packs for our RFDS fleets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement maintenance work packs for RFDS fleets
  • Liaise with engineering section staff regarding upcoming maintenance requirements
  • Monitor aircraft maintenance due lists
  • Carry out airworthiness documentation and maintenance of aircraft technical records and log books
  • Perform additional duties as required by operational and aircraft maintenance needs
  • Liaise with operational and maintenance bases, pilots, and senior management as necessary

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with aircraft maintenance documentation and traceability systems
  • Solid understanding of CASA regulations, maintenance data, and associated airworthiness regulations
  • Effective communication skills, including written and verbal, and experience with problem-solving and collaboration
  • Practical outlook with attention to detail and strong time management skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and direction, including remote work arrangements
