Senior Psychiatrist Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Mental Health Virtual Care Centre.

This is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to an innovative model of care that blends clinical excellence with flexibility, accessibility, and person-centred practice.

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, tailored interventions, and collaborative care planning in line with current NICE Guidelines for Mental Health Rehabilitation.
  • Work on a part-time basis (0.4 FTE) with a low-volume caseload of participants.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to teaching and professional development.

The selected candidate will play a key role in shaping recovery pathways and supporting participants to achieve meaningful, sustainable outcomes in their recovery journey.

Requirements
  • Registration or eligibility to register with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and/or equivalent specialist recognition.
  • Evidence of ongoing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
