Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cropping Manager to oversee our 5,000-acre property featuring prime lamb breeding and finishing programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cropping program, including spraying, sowing, harvesting, and spreading. Additionally, the successful applicant will work closely with sheep and cattle operations to ensure seamless integration.

Our clients operate a family-owned farm located just 25 kilometres west of Young, NSW. The property boasts extensive improvements, modern machinery, and up-to-date stock handling infrastructure. We emphasize maintaining a good work-life balance, providing opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of the cropping program, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Work closely with agronomists and mechanics to ensure optimal crop performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed records of activities and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Contribute to farm development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Chemcert certification.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Prior livestock handling experience using low-stress techniques.
