Bechtel is seeking a highly skilled Environmental, Safety and Health (ES&H) Manager to join their team. As an ES&H Manager, you will be responsible for developing, integrating, and implementing all aspects of project-related ES&H processes, plans, procedures, systems, methods, and policies.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of environmental and/or safety engineering, process safety, health, or a related discipline. They will also possess experience in supervising all aspects of ES&H on projects or facilities, as well as knowledge of national and international ES&H laws/regulations and regulatory/resource agencies permitting processes and responsibilities.

The ES&H Manager will be responsible for:

  • Developing and managing the ES&H programme for a specific project or facility in accordance with established policies, systems, processes, procedures, and methods, client requirements, and regulations.
  • Directing and providing functional leadership of construction safety, road safety, occupational health and wellbeing, training/competence, compliance/inspection, risk reduction, culture/behavioural, and improvement activities across the project.
  • Developing and managing Stop Work, Fair Culture, Consequence Management, and Positive recognition policies and activities across the project.
  • Leading a team and coordinating with the GBU ESH Manager in recruitment, policy administration, compensation administration, and employee development.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A recognized degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A sufficient number of specialized courses.
  • Prior practical work experience in environmental, safety, and/or health.
