Job Overview

This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care and support to individuals in need across Australia. You will work closely with clients to develop personalized care plans, empowering them to lead fulfilling lives within their communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct care and support to clients, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, promoting dignity and independence.
  • Support clients with household tasks including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Accompany clients to appointments, outings, and social activities, fostering community engagement and integration.
  • Monitor and record clients' progress, behaviors, and any changes in their health or well-being, providing accurate documentation.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and ensure compliance with medication schedules, prioritizing safety and adherence.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies or challenging situations, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or a related field is highly regarded.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, accommodating diverse client needs.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification is essential; willingness to obtain certification is also considered.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are necessary for transporting clients.
  • A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and/or National Police Check (or ability to obtain) is required for working with vulnerable populations.
