Early Childhood Educator

Hume City Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team in the Sunbury area. As a key member of our Long Day Care team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing innovative educational programs for children.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and effective team, promoting shared learning and collaboration.
- Build strong relationships with families, engaging them in their child's learning journey and promoting a sense of community.
- Stay up-to-date with current theories and practices in early childhood education, applying this knowledge to inform program development and implementation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011.
- Diploma of Children's Services or Certificate 3 in Children's Services
- Experience in Long Day Care Services
- Sound knowledge of the Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct
- Working with Children's Check
- Certificate for Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
- Anaphylaxis Management
- Emergency Asthma Management
- Updated CPR
- Mandatory Reporting
