Patient Services Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Patient Services Assistant to join our team at Werribee Mercy Hospital. As a key member of our Environmental Services Department, you will provide patient-centred cleaning duties, food and beverage services, and transportation of patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure Victorian Public Health cleaning and Food Safety standards are met
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
- Contribute to a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors
Requirements
- Health Services Assistant Certificate III or equivalent
- Current Food Handling Certificate
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and show initiative
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to understand patient diet codes
- Commitment to policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment
