Production Planning Expertise

The Production Planner plays a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for optimizing production material usage to achieve maximum efficiency. They create weekly schedules based on the MPS plan and proactively identify capacity constraints or issues, acting swiftly to address them.

This long-term opportunity offers ample scope for growth and development, with opportunities to progress within the role and the business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create weekly job schedules for the next 4 weeks based on the MPS plan
  • Identify potential capacity constraints or issues for the next 4 weeks
  • Review and schedule production jobs for the next 2 weeks based on material and capacity availability
  • Liaise with the Production Manager to ensure sufficient resources are allocated
  • Collaborate with the Master Scheduler on a weekly and daily basis to align assembly with packing jobs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Production Planning (desired)
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP systems
  • Demonstrated experience in production planning and/or supply chain management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, clear communication, and strong stakeholder engagement
  • At least 2 years' experience in a production planning/materials control function within manufacturing
