**Job Title:** Senior Personal Care Worker
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Personal Care Worker to join our team at Churches of Christ in Queensland. As a Senior Personal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to residents, while also supporting and guiding our care team to deliver exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:- **Coordinate Daily Tasks:** Oversee the daily tasks and workloads of Personal Care Workers, ensuring a smooth and efficient care delivery process.
- **Provide Personal Care:** Ensure the provision of personal care and physical and emotional support to residents who require assistance with daily living, including mobility assistance to and from activities, meals, social outings, and clinical care.
- **Medication Assistance:** Provide medication assistance to residents, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
- **Care Planning:** Participate in the development and review of resident care plans, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- **Confidentiality:** Maintain the personal dignity and privacy of all residents, their representatives, and staff, ensuring all interactions are treated confidentially.
- **Environment:** Support and assist in maintaining a comfortable, safe, and secure environment for residents.
- **Food Handling:** Undertake food handling, preparation, cooking, cleaning, distribution, and serving of meals to residents.
- **Support to Registered Nurses:** Provide support to and undertake tasks as delegated by Registered Nurses.
- **Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent:** Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent qualification.
- **Medication Assistance:** Have previous experience undertaking medication assistance as a Personal Care Worker within aged care.
- **HLTHPS006:** Completion of the HLTHPS006 unit of competency, Assist clients with medication.
