Primary School Teacher Opportunity

Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational school with 1,800 students across five campuses in West and South Gippsland, the Latrobe Valley and Melbourne's south-eastern outskirts.

We are seeking a Primary School Teacher to join our Traralgon campus. The primary responsibility will be to deliver the curriculum from a Christian worldview perspective and foster a safe learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a learning environment that encourages positive attitudes towards learning and sets achievable expectations for students.
  • Effectively assess student performance and provide feedback in an encouraging manner.
  • Plan and carry out daily activities to fulfil the objectives of the school's educational policies and mission statement.
  • Build relationships with students and parents to establish a partnering approach to learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the school's Statement of Faith.
  • Experience teaching at lower primary school levels (desirable).
  • Sound knowledge of teaching from a Christian worldview perspective.
  • Ability to utilise a range of teaching strategies and build strong partnering relationships with students and parents.

Successful applicants will need to agree with and model Chairo's Statement of Faith. We prioritise the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all our students.
