Teaching Science in a Christian Context

The role of the Secondary Science Teacher is to provide high-quality education to students while integrating Christian values into their learning experience.

This is a part-time position (0.8 FTE) that commences in Term 1, offering a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to contribute to the educational community.

  • Develop and implement engaging science programs to achieve specific student outcomes
  • Cultivate critical reflection to improve student knowledge, skills, and learning
  • Utilize multiple sources of feedback to inform professional learning goals and classroom practice
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning within the school and Seventh-day Adventist system
  • Support and promote Christian-based values and ethos in accordance with the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
  • Taught in accordance with the Australian curriculum, integrated with Christian principles
  • Lead daily Christian-based class devotions to students
