Primary Health Care Specialist

The Nurse Practitioner plays a pivotal role in our busy and fast-paced clinic, managing patient care and treatment. This specialist is responsible for delivering advanced clinical care, assessing patients, prescribing medications, and developing comprehensive treatment plans in accordance with the BRAMS Model of Care.

Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, this professional ensures timely and effective treatment for the community by providing culturally responsive and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver advanced clinical care to patients through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver culturally sensitive and patient-focused care
  • Assess and diagnose patients, prescribe medications as necessary, and develop treatment plans aligned with the BRAMS Model of Care
Requirements
  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Advanced clinical experience in patient assessment and treatment, health promotion, and disease prevention relevant to the role and individual scope of practice
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including conceptual and analytical ability
  • Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to manage internal and external relationships in complex organizational settings, including cross-cultural environments
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality
