Early Childhood Support Professional

The delivery of the NDIS early childhood approach at a local level requires a dedicated individual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support families through a holistic, child-centred approach, ensuring children receive the appropriate interventions based on best practice evidence.
  • Utilize diploma or higher qualifications in Early Childhood, Allied Health, Social Work, or a related field to inform evidence-based decision-making.
  • Conduct thorough assessments for children with developmental concerns or disabilities, determining their needs and ensuring timely referrals to relevant support pathways.
  • Facilitate connections between families and community services to enhance social participation and access to essential services.
  • Guide families through the NDIS plan reassessment process, gathering necessary information, assisting with goal development, and ensuring the right support is in place.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the NDIS early childhood approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families and other stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
