Job Opportunity:

As an Equipment Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment.

This position requires a high level of expertise in operating heavy machinery, including loaders, excavators, bulldozers, and forklifts. You will be responsible for conducting pre-operation checks to ensure all equipment is functioning properly before use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and Follow Directions: Report to the Foreman or General Foreman to receive daily assignments, instructions, and directions.
  • Operate Equipment: Safely operate designated machinery and equipment, adhering to all safety rules and procedures.
  • Maintain Safety Standards: Strictly adhere to all safety standards and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
  • Perform Routine Checks: Conduct regular checks to ensure equipment is in good operating condition, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Document Operations: Keep accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and any incidents.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid US Secret clearance or an Australian NV-1 clearance.
  • Experience in Equipment Operation: Prior experience operating the relevant types of light and/or heavy machinery, typically at least 2-5 years, depending on the complexity of the equipment.
  • Maintenance Knowledge: Understanding of basic maintenance and troubleshooting for the equipment operated.
  • Certified Equipment Operator: Certification for specific equipment (such as forklift, frontend loader, or other heavy machinery) is required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL): Required for operating larger vehicles such as buses and semi-trucks, depending on job requirements.
