We are seeking an exceptional Indigenous Education Leader to join our team and drive the development of programs and activities that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in achieving their higher education goals.

About the Role

This leadership role is part of a high-performing Student Recruitment team, where you will be responsible for coordinating and evaluating initiatives to enhance Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student recruitment. You will work closely with our staff and other university teams to ensure successful outcomes and contribute to the growth and success of our Indigenous student population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and empower team members to achieve high standards and deliver targets.
  • Develop and implement effective programs and activities to recruit and retain Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
  • Collaborate with our Indigenous staff and other teams to leverage expertise and resources, ensuring a cohesive approach to Indigenous student recruitment.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of the Student Recruitment team, ensuring seamless delivery of programs and services.
Requirements
  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent (a genuine occupational qualification).
  • Relevant degree with at least four years subsequent relevant experience, or equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and knowledge of their contributions, successes and challenges.
  • Demonstrated experience in student recruitment and capacity to develop marketing plans to recruit students.
