Job Title: Power Network Designer

Job Description:

The role of the Power Network Designer is to play a critical part in shaping Western Australia's transition into the era of green energy.

The Team/Department:

We are a multidisciplinary team with a forward-focused vision: Delivering solutions to power a cleaner energy future.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and support drafting work associated with assigned distribution projects.
  • Provide technical input on drafting software, drawing management, and updating of drafting standards/templates.
  • Manage inter-relationships between work and others by facilitating open and trusting workplace relations and communication.
  • Comply with process improvement initiatives related to detail design/drafting.
  • Assist in document control and management, and engage in document control improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Two-year diploma or advanced diploma in electrical/civil engineering design or higher.
  • At least 5 years demonstrated working knowledge and experience within distribution overhead lines, substations, underground cabling, and secondary systems detail design, drafting standards, and tools.
  • Working knowledge of other disciplines associated with distribution design.
  • Knowledge of document control and quality management systems.
  • Ability to manage own performance and collaborate within teams.
