About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Trade/Carpenters Assistant to join our team in our Braeside workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our installers with the preparation and installation of custom, traditional, and specialized staircases and staircase components.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also possess a strong attention to detail and be able to interpret CAD drawings accurately.

  • Prepare job sites and assist with layout and setup
  • Interpret and calculate materials/components required from CAD drawings
  • Lay out and prepare work areas
  • Perform tasks related to the manufacture of staircases and staircase components
  • Conduct order assessments, material ordering, and stock takes
  • Clean machines and work areas daily
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A drivers license and reliable transportation (essential)
  • A forklift license (handy but not essential)
  • Building or timber industry experience (preferred)
