Logistics Coordinator Role Overview

This is a new role within a leading manufacturing team on one of the largest site upgrades in the region. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating delivery logistics with trucking and transport companies.

  • Main Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate Delivery Logistics. Coordinate delivery logistics with trucking and transport companies to ensure timely receipt of materials and equipment.

  2. Unloading, Inspection, Repacking, and Readiness of Equipment. Oversee the unloading, inspection, repacking, and readiness of equipment for site use.

  3. Laydown and Storage Areas Maintenance. Maintain laydown and storage areas safe, tidy, and well-organised.

  4. Equipment and Supplies Tracking. Accurately track equipment and supplies using Datapel and Excel.

  5. WHS Procedures Compliance. Follow WHS procedures and work collaboratively with engineers and site teams.

  6. Regular Progress Updates. Provide regular updates to the project team on progress and inventory.

Requirements

  • 5-10 Years' Experience in logistics/warehouse coordination on industrial projects.

  • Forklift Licence - Essential.

  • Computer Literacy, including experience with Datapel, Excel, or similar systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Steelworks or Heavy Industry.

  • Overhead Crane Licence.

  • Knowledge of WHS Regulations.
