Community Care Support Worker

This role is centered around delivering care to individuals living in their community, thereby supporting their independence and enhancing the quality of life. As a Community Care Support Worker, you will be involved in completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients and their loved ones within their homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing in-home personal care services, including assistance with daily living activities such as showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry & ironing
  • Must have access to own vehicle for driving between clients
  • Hours are primarily Monday to Friday between 9am-5pm
  • Delivering care in accordance with individualized Care Plans
  • Supporting clients with community-based recreational and social activities
  • Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments
Requirements:
  • Able to work effectively within a team-oriented environment and provide excellent support to clients and colleagues
  • Able to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
  • Experience working in the Disability, Aged and Community sector is ideal but not essential – as long as you have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Current NDIS Worker screening check
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate (required before commencing)
  • Open Drivers License and access to vehicle
  • Car Insurance that is in your name
