Apprentice Plant Mechanic - Drilling Operations

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our apprentice program for a plant mechanic specializing in drilling operations. The successful candidate will be trained by experienced tradespeople and will gain the learning requirements necessary to obtain their trade certificate.

The apprenticeship will cover various areas of manufacturing, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing drill rigs and ancillary equipment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacturing, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing drill rigs and ancillary equipment.
  • Ensuring high levels of safety at all times.
  • Attending and completing TAFE study and classroom requirements.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualities:

  • A strong work ethic and passion for the mechanical industry.
  • Willingness and ability to complete FIFO rosters from year 3 until completion of the apprenticeship.
  • Ability to support site-based operations.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and study.
  • Manual driver's license and own transport.
  • Current National Police Check upon application.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of year 12 and holding a Cert II relative to the trade is preferred.
