This role plays a vital part in our Security Operations team. As a technical expert, you will be responsible for proactively maintaining application security to support clients' vulnerability management plans. You will also collect and analyze data to support regular cybersecurity reporting activities and conduct health checks on existing client solution implementations.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement proactive patching strategies across various applications to support clients' vulnerability management plans.
- Collect and analyze data to support regular cybersecurity-related reporting activities.
- Conduct comprehensive health checks on existing client solution implementations, including Security Awareness Training Platforms, EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), Firewalls, and Application Control solutions.
- Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for security-related issues to customers based in Australia.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Maintain documentation concerning security procedures, processes, and incidents.
- Assist in conducting post-incident reviews and implementing corrective actions.
- Document and log all actions into ticketing systems.
- Proven experience in a cybersecurity or related role, with a focus on vulnerability management, patching, and incident response.
- Knowledge and understanding of common security frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies, including EDR, Firewalls, and Application Control solutions.
- A general knowledge of technical infrastructure from desktop to firewall, including LAN & WAN networking principles.
- Experience working with an IT outsourcer or managed service provider (MSP).
- An understanding of ticketing systems and customer service principles.
- Experience with Connectwise, Labtech, and/or Solarwinds Orion (desired).
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.
- CompTIA Security+
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or equivalent
- Vendor certifications from Fortinet, Sophos, Avanade etc
