A challenging career opportunity has become available in the field of automotive manufacturing. The selected candidate will be responsible for fabricating and installing custom bodies onto the chassis of heavy vehicles.

Key aspects of this role include completing a Certificate III in Automotive Manufacturing Technical Operations - Bus, Truck & Trailer, preparing and operating tools and equipment, monitoring and maintaining automotive equipment, reading and interpreting work orders and drawings, and performing basic welding and mechanical cutting tasks.

The Role

As an apprentice body builder, you will have the opportunity to develop a range of skills including fabrication, installation, and repair of custom vehicle bodies.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will receive dedicated mentorship from experienced professionals, ensuring you are well-equipped to succeed in this exciting and rewarding career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and operate machinery and tools as required.
  • Monitor and maintain automotive equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret work orders and drawings to complete tasks accurately.
  • Perform basic welding, thermal cutting, heating, and gouging tasks.
  • Carry out mechanical cutting operations as needed.
