Student Counsellor Role

We are seeking a registered Psychologist or Social Worker to join our team as a Student Counsellor. The role involves providing therapeutic counselling, assessment, and support to students studying at a tertiary institution.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in providing therapeutic counselling, risk assessment, and crisis intervention. They will also have a broad knowledge and understanding of the wide range and complex needs of students within a higher education setting.

To establish strong rapport with students from diverse backgrounds, you will need to be able to work collaboratively within a team and liaise, negotiate, and resolve conflict in complex situations.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive relevant experience
  • Eligibility to register with the Psychology Board of Australia through AHPRA, and/or the Australian Association of Social Work
