Job Title: Online Counsellor and Team Leader

">About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of online counsellors, providing day-to-day operations and leadership. This role involves delivering high-quality therapeutic interventions and case management support.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Deliver online counselling services to young people aged 12-25 and parents/carers/kin of children with a cancer experience.
  2. Lead a team of autonomous counsellors, ensuring they deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions and case management support.
  3. Develop and grow an online community in alignment with our strategic plan and funding agreements.
  4. Support the delivery of organisational goals and KPIs.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or Counselling.
  • Current registration with AHPRA (Psychologist) or eligibility for membership of AASW (Social Worker), PACFA, ACA or similar.
  • Working with Children Check and willingness to undergo National Criminal History Police Clearance.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • 3-5 years' clinical practice in mental health/youth health, including digital delivery to young people and families.
  • Management/leadership experience within health or community sectors; remote team leadership preferred.
  • Experience in grief, loss, and bereavement counselling with knowledge of relevant theories.
  • Strong networking and collaboration skills to build inter-agency relationships.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
