We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Officer to join our team at Charles Sturt University's Agrisciences Research and Business Park. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in intensive livestock systems.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, maintain, and upgrade intensive livestock equipment, systems, and software.
- Assist in the administration of animal health treatments and ensure all livestock operations are performed safely and in accordance with workplace health and safety and regulatory requirements.
- Provide advice, demonstrations, and training to users of our intensive livestock facilities.
- Contribute to advancing animal production and solving environmental challenges facing the red meat industry.
- Demonstrated experience in operating, maintaining, supporting, and upgrading intensive livestock equipment, systems, and software.
- Understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and best practice applicable to intensive livestock systems.
- High-quality interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to effectively engage with internal and external collaborators and other stakeholders.
- Current NSW C-class driver's license.
