Business Operations Manager

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with exceptional people management skills, capable of driving business growth and maintaining high service standards in a fast-paced retail environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the overall operations of the retail store, ensuring efficient fuel ordering, timely deliveries, and thorough safety checks on pumps and storage systems.
  • Lead and support staff members in the café/food service section, promoting product quality, and adhering to strict hygiene standards.
  • Coordinate inventory replenishment with suppliers to meet local and tourist demand patterns.
  • Oversee merchandising and visual displays to align with brand identity and seasonal campaigns.
  • Develop targeted marketing strategies to attract regular customers and tourists visiting the region.
  • Ensure compliance with pricing, promotional, and stock control policies and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain effective purchasing and inventory management systems to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Monitor sales trends, prepare budgets, and analyze financial performance to meet key performance indicators.
  • Oversee recruitment, induction, training, and rostering to ensure adequate staffing and service quality.
  • Implement and monitor WH&S, food safety, and operational compliance requirements.
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards and address escalated issues promptly.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of motivating and guiding teams.
  • Excellent financial acumen, including budgeting, stock control, and sales analysis skills.
  • Hands-on experience in retail operations is highly desirable.
  • Ability to multitask and manage high-volume, fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for both staff and customer interaction.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proactive approach.

Minimum Requirements: AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma, and at least 1 year of experience in a similar retail management role.
