Mid-Year Psychiatry Registrar

This is a unique mid-year opportunity for a psychiatrist to join our team.
About the RoleApplications are invited for an unaccredited, stage 2 or stage 3 psychiatry registrar position. The successful candidate will be part of a comprehensive training program that includes quality experience in psychotherapy and examination preparation.
The training rotations available include:
- General adult inpatient and community psychiatry
- Child and adolescent mental health
- Koori
- Consultation-liaison
- Psycho-oncology
- Psychogeriatrics
- Dual diagnosis
- Perinatal psychiatry
- And psychiatry in the private setting.

Our hospital has a particular commitment to providing a supportive learning environment which includes quality supervision, reflective practice groups and access to ongoing professional development opportunities.
Classifications for this position will range from HM25 - HM30 ($129048.40 - $177622.12 pro rata per annum) + salary sacrifice and excluding super.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssess, formulate and develop treatment plans for patients admitted to the inpatient unit or community under the supervision of the consultant psychiatrist.
Liaise with other members of the multidisciplinary team on the delivery of the treatment plan.
Respect the leadership role and the varied other roles and responsibilities within a team.
Engage in work which is recovery-oriented, focused on maximising decision-making capacity and social participation.
Comply with relevant legal requirements and organisational policies regarding health records and timely and accurate patient documentation and statistical data.
Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceBachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery or equivalent.
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency or eligibility for general registration.
Registration as a medical practitioner.
Commitment to the Values and Health Care Philosophy of the Hospital.
