About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to provide administrative support to our Commercial & Regulatory Legal team at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). This is a permanent, full-time role based in our Ultimo office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance to lawyers in the Commercial & Regulatory legal team, including preparing documents, managing files, and coordinating tasks.
  • Support the Executive Assistant to the General Counsel in managing the team's administrative tasks.
  • Contribute to the effective day-to-day operations of the Legal Department, including providing general systems support and retrieving information from practice management systems and local databases.
  • Assist in administering the ABC's trademark portfolio, including coordinating renewals of registered trademarks.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced administrative professional with a strong background in legal administration. Your skills and experience should include:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present written documentation clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures, with experience in a similar role.
