About the Role

The Queensland Fire and Emergency Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Auxiliary Firefighter. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for responding to fire and other emergency incidents in a professional and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency incidents as part of a team, ensuring safety and effectiveness on the fire ground;
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through participation in community education activities;
  • Develop and maintain competencies by actively participating in regular drills and training courses provided by QFES;
  • Maintain attendance standards for emergency incidents and training sessions;
  • Operate specialist firefighting equipment safely and effectively;
  • Contribute to station maintenance and hygiene, as well as equipment upkeep and repair;
  • Participate in incident reporting and general administration tasks;

Salary Information

This role comes with a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
