The role of Lecturer is a key position in the delivery and development of the Master of Social Work (Qualifying) program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework while providing a high-quality student-centric experience.

In this role, you will be expected to map to the units delivered in the program and stay abreast with current and emerging principles and best practices.

">Required Skills and Qualifications">

To be successful in this role, you'll have a PhD level qualification or a Masters degree at Level 9, along with at least 5 years of relevant teaching, research, or professional experience in social work or community services.

Alternatively, you may have completed at least two-thirds of a relevant Doctorate or PhD at Level 10, along with relevant teaching, research, or professional experience totalling 3 years.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing tertiary subject curricula and teaching materials.
  • Able to coordinate and administer the successful delivery of tertiary subjects.
  • Highly professional and ethical conduct, resilience, and a collaborative approach to both teaching and industry engagement.
  • Strong understanding of social work theory and practice.
  • Eligible for membership of the AASW.
