Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Emergency Response Trainer to join our Fire and Rescue operations in Adelaide, Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deliver emergency response training programs with a focus on contractual requirements.
  • Develop departmental-specific curriculum guidelines consistent with national legislation, best practices, and program implementation.
  • Support the development of assessment tools to ensure appropriate systems, governance, and processes are in place to manage ongoing skills and competency maintenance.
  • Contribute at a state and national level to the development of training curriculum, learning guides, and assessment procedures for emergency response topics.
  • Oversee the Fire Development Program and facilitate successful succession planning for the department's fire management needs.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Background in firefighting and first aid capability to assist with knowledge regarding within the training and assessment requirements.
  • Evidence matrix of skills and competencies to support firefighting background.
  • Familiarity with emergency services and operational excellence practices.
  • Experience in training and people management.
  • High-risk and diverse emergency response organizations experience is highly desirable.

Required Qualifications:

  • PUA50120 Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management).
  • PUA30622 Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations).
  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Diploma of Vocational Education & Training desirable).
  • PUAFIR205 Respond to aviation incident (specialist).
  • PUAFIR305 Respond to aviation incidents (general).
  • HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid or higher qualification.
