Cloud Cost Optimization Specialist

This role is pivotal in shaping the future of cloud and SaaS cost management.

About The Position

You will drive transparency, forecasting accuracy, and operational efficiency across our cloud infrastructure and SaaS ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advocate for automation-first mindset in Technology and operations teams.
  • Create a roadmap for future state through projects and advocate for resources to deliver efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and analyze cloud spend across Azure, AWS, and GCP platforms.
  • Optimize SaaS platform usage and licensing to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Track and forecast AI-related services usage, including token-based consumption models.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide visibility into cloud and SaaS expenditures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and finance teams to allocate costs accurately and identify savings opportunities.
  • Implement FinOps best practices to support budgeting, forecasting, and chargeback models.
Requirements
  • A background within Tier 2 Service Provider.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and cost management tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with AI/ML services and token-based usage models is a plus.
  • Experience in a FinOps, Cloud Cost Management, or SaaS Optimization role.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
  • Effective presentation skills with the ability to connect technical and financial information in meaningful ways.
