
Dietetic Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Dietitian to join our Allied Health team in a dynamic and supportive environment.
- This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work with a variety of patient populations, including those requiring gastrointestinal surgery, general medical care, ICU support, cardiac services, and orthopaedic care.
The successful applicant will have the ability to provide leadership and direction in assisting the flexible utilisation of resources to enhance service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing proficient skills and knowledge in the provision of current Nutrition & Dietetic practice.
- Developing and implementing evidence-based nutrition plans to meet the needs of consumers, carers, and families.
- Working autonomously with limited supervision and prioritising work to manage a demanding workload.
- Leading and directing the use of resources to enhance service delivery.
- Meeting the required qualifications and experience outlined below.
Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, as well as extensive clinical experience as a Level 2 Dietitian. The successful applicant must also be eligible for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia and hold current Accredited Practicing Dietitian status.
Additional requirements include:
- Experience in the acute hospital system, with specific knowledge of TPN, PEG, and Enteral feeds.
- Exceptional time management and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing education and the provision of evidence-based practice.
